A plain answer to the question every brand asks first: what agents actually read on your site, why most pages score low, and the order to fix it in.

## What is agent readiness?

Agent readiness is how easily an AI agent — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Grok, or a shopping agent acting for a customer — can read your site, understand what you sell, and act on it without a human in the loop. It is a different question from "does my site look good" and a different question from classic SEO rankings.

## Why does my site score badly when it looks fine?

Because agents do not see what visitors see. Three things account for most lost points:

- **Your facts are rendered by JavaScript.** A crawler that reads raw HTML gets an empty shell. If your prices, hours, locations or product names only appear after scripts run, they effectively do not exist.

- **There is no machine-readable summary.** No structured data, no `llms.txt`, no agent card — so the agent has to guess what your business is from marketing copy.

- **Nothing proves the site is yours.** An agent quoting your policies wants a source it can trust. Without verification, your page is one unattributed claim among many.

## How is the score calculated?

A Robauto scan reads what a crawler can reach at your URL and scores it out of 100. A URL-only scan tops out at 90: the final 10 points require a verified Robauto pixel, because that is what lets other agents confirm the site is who it says it is rather than taking a scan's word for it.

## What should I fix first?

- Get the core facts into server-rendered HTML — what you do, where, for whom, at what price.

- Publish the machine-readable twin: structured data, plus a plain-text summary agents can fetch.

- Install the pixel so you can see which agents arrive, and verify the site.

- Then keep it current. Agents cite the version they can fetch today, not the version you launched.

## Where do I learn the details?

The [AI Search (AEO/GEO) course](https://robauto.ai/learn/ai-search-aeo) walks through each of these in order, with the reasoning behind them. If you want the shorter path: run a free [Agent Readiness Scan](https://robauto.ai/scan) and fix what it lists, top down.

To see where agent traffic is actually going right now, the [Brand Leaderboard](https://robauto.ai/leaderboard) and [AI Search Data](https://robauto.ai/ai-search-data) are both live and free to download.

## Where can an agent get this data live?

**Robauto MCP — Agent Intelligence & Brand Discovery Infrastructure.** A public, stateless Streamable HTTP endpoint at `https://mcp.robauto.ai/mcp`. Any agent can call `agent_scan` for a readiness scan, `get_brand_profile` for a brand's grounded record with a source page behind every value, and `readiness_index` for live network totals. Setup is in the [Robauto MCP directory](https://robauto.ai/mcp-directory).
