Waterless Toilets Head to Europe: ToMTuR Lands Exclusive EU Rights to Virro Renew

Virro appoints ToMTuR as exclusive mainland-Europe distributor for Renew, a waterless “ReGen” composting toilet that aims to turn waste into fertilizer. US buyers can use code Early50 for 50% off.

A toilet that uses no water and turns waste into fertilizer is coming to mainland Europe. According to a November 2026 press release, US maker Virro has appointed German off-grid sanitation specialist ToMTuR as its exclusive distribution partner for mainland Europe, launching the flagship Renew waterless composting toilet.

From waste disposal to resource recovery

The companies say Renew establishes a new “ReGen” category of composting toilets, aiming to turn the toilet into “a system for active resource recovery.” The release argues conventional toilets flush away nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and that Virro “closes this loop” by converting biowaste into fertilizer.

What the companies say Renew offers

• White, grey or black finishes with a standard-size seat.
• Liquid/solid separation, a low-power activated carbon fan and additives for odor control (company claim: “completely odor-free”).
• Electric or manual mixing; runs on AC, DC or an optional battery (1–2 weeks of runtime, per the release).
• Active ventilation and mixing for aerobic decomposition.

“Renew will change everything,” said Tobias Baumgartner, CEO of ToMTuR, quoting a team member. Gaelan Brown, Virro co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, said after the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf that “Europe is ready for the next generation of composting toilets.”

ToMTuR's shop lists the VIRRO Renew at 1.499,00 € – 1.899,00 € (out of stock when we checked). Virro's US site lists a $849 presale price and a $100 refundable reservation deposit, with first units estimated Nov 20, 2026.
